As the secretary, I am proud to share that there is indeed strength in unity. We, as medical professionals, have journeyed from our native Nepal to practice medicine in the United States, bringing with us exceptional training, unique cultural experiences, and a warm spirit that is innately Nepali. Our presence enriches both our patients and our community, not only through our professional endeavors but also through the essence of who we are.
However, it is vital to acknowledge the unique conditions and challenges we face, which require a dedicated space for listening, advocacy, and representation. To address this need, the Association of Nepali Medical Professionals in America (ANMA) was established. This organization is ours—it was created for us, by us, and it continuously evolves to support us in celebrating our successes and empowering us through our challenges.
ANMA acts as both a facilitator and a conduit for our professional and community aspirations. Let us all unite under this expansive umbrella to organize and collaborate. Together, we are stronger, and together, we will accomplish great things for both ourselves and the communities we serve.
